READY TO DEFEND HEARTH AND HOME…

Scattered throughout the kingdoms of Men are several halfling communities. Primarily people of the earth – farmers, millers, butchers, drovers – halflings nevertheless have to make their way in a world that can be fraught with dangers.

Over the centuries, they have grown their own class of warriors who work in close coordination in the face of the enemy. Sometimes these trained bands travel far afield to fight on behalf of Mannish kingdoms or in times of great peril even in the armies of the High Queen herself.

This hard plastic box set allows you to build 40 Halfling Militiamen equipped with bow, sling, halberd, or pike and with options for full command.

A Solid One Box Army

This box is a good start and on its own it can supply a complete army for Warlords of Erehwon and a sizeable contingent for a large rank and file game.

Only complaint is the Halbards and Pikes can be fiddly. But beyond that I love it.

Good source of rank and file

I’ve used this kit for both a Frosgrave band of adventurer and for rank-and-file troops for battle games. The box works great for both, but extra well for rank-and-file. To get even more mileage out of the kit, use leftover heads and weapons from other kits you hav laying around. I’ve found that both perry and warlord plastics were compatible, giving me even more useage out of the two boxes I bought. Should get a few more boxes some day and make a whole army! :)

Halflings on the march!

These are just fantastic. I've bought one box so far and split them into two units, pikemen and halberdiers. While you can't actually build twenty of each, by the time you include a musician, champion (with obligatory sword) and a couple of guys who 'forgot' their polearms and resort to slings, you are good to go!

The styling is quite simple tunics, which means they will fit in quite nicely to any fantasy era from classic Greek/Roman styles through to Landsknecht. The mixture of sheathed swords, saucepans and shields means that every model can be a character.

Definitely would recommend.

These aren’t half as good

Needed some halflings, looked at these and found my set. These are absolutely perfect for beefing up your shire forces. The mix of weapons make this box set perfect for all around utility.

Great set, needs weapons

Love this box, the bodies and heads are fantastic and the details are crisp. My one and only issue is lack of weapon options. I would have loved a sprue of smaller weapon choices.
